Chris Brown Reaches Plea Bargain For Felony Charges

After initially pleading 'not guilty' in the initial court hearing, today Chris Brown, his lawyers and the Los Angeles district attorney's office reached a plea bargain in which he pleaded guilty to felony assault charges. According to CNN.com the deal includes 5 years probation and 180 days of labor intensive community service which measures out to over 1,400 hrs of service.

Not condoning the behavior at all but whether the mistakes small or large, we ALL make them. Some forgiven by 'man' and some not. Ultimately, God is the judge.

That's what I say: let that man live just like everyone else. We have no place to cast a stone. I'll still support him because I believe he's a good person at heart and I hope others will do the same.

What a horrible ordeal to go through, I hope both Chris and Rihanna have learned their lessons and I wish success to them both.

I think it's fuckin ridiculous that he is now a convicted felon. People are saying that "he got off good...etc" What the hell is "good" about being a felon? That is something he'll carry with him forever and trust it will taunt him in many ways outside of his career. I don't condone domestic violence at all but I also don't think his punishment fits the crime. In short, this is a damn shame.

Maybe i will watch him picking trash up in virinia

I think you said it best...............who are we to judge, we don't have a hell or heaven to put anybody in(THANK GOD 4 THAT). I send CB much Prayers,Luv and Blessings.

I agree, we all make mistakes. Whooping a girl's behind (barring life and death situations), however, is not a "mistake" in my book. It's disgusting and so is he. Sorry, can't rock with him on this one.

Chris is gone be alright. This is just a minor setback for him. I am sure he is going to learn his lesson and move on. Many others can learn from this as well. And rather he pleads guilty or not the only real judge is god. We still love Chris Brezzy! And his fanbase is still crazy and missing him.

I'm glad Chris didn't get any jail time. The only thing now though, is that he is a convicted felon and will always be a convicted felon. However, I still love him and if I love any convicted felon ever, I'm glad it's him. Chris, I prayed for you from the first night on and I continue my prayers today. God bless!

Trey are you sure, you're only 24, lol? You speak with a wisdom and intellect usually reserved for older folks, at 30 years old-especially for a man! Thats actually what drew me into your circle in the 1st place, hearing an interview that you did a few months ago. I was astounded by how mature, grounded and appreciative you seemed to be for someone your age. So I backtracked your career and songs. I Youtubed, googled, & MySpaced you and even though like everyone else, I knew "Can't help But Wait" "Las Time" "Wonder Woman", etc. I didn't know "Trey Songz" So like a real fan, I researed the hell outta ya ass, lol, Being in my 30's and a female, I feel as if I've learned some things in my lifetime. Anyway, your posts are always interesting and a pleasure to read. Keep those people around you who bring out the best in you and keep doing your thing & going HAM on them! I may not have been a "fan" when you 1st started, I truly am 1 now & everyday I watch 106 & Park, I stay on 1003thebeatphilly and I'm really a supporter of your music.

much luv & success to you!

So true. It's so funny how people can sometimes forget that we are all human and judge others for their mistakes so quickly. I don't condone his behavior in any way shape or form either. As a person who has dealt with domestic abuse at a young age like Rihanna and Chris, I know that it is a terrible thing to go thru. But I understand fully that people make mistakes and as a Christian woman, I understand that we have to forgive and move forward. Chris is a bright young man with so much promise. I know that if he continues to pray and follow God's will for his life, he will come out on top.

I really do think they took this situation a bit out of control. Think about it; he did NOT BEAT HER!!! They had a fight, that's what couples do. 9 times out of 10 they get physical. Is it wrong that this situation got out of control because he's famous?? Famous has nothin to do with what goes on in his personal life. Ultimately, God is the who decides, who should have the last word and judgement. Give em a break yo.Byzzn3ss

Smh... No one was there to see what happened, i am a female and damn it at times my friends call me a feminist BUT real recognizes real... It's clearly out of Chris's character (given his background) to just look at you and say "u know what... Imma beat that ass... Just for fun!"
No one spoke about ri ri's actions... I'm a Caribbean woman.. Trust me, she didn't sit down there and jus let Chris mash up she face (as we would say lol)...
Personally, i wasn't a CB "fan" but this whole ordeal has made me have respect for him.. He could have went the slandering way and drug her name through the mud but he didn't... I think 5 years is WAY too much for some one who is so young and its his first offense

It is very sad for both Rihanna and Chris Brown..and it is also very sad to see how the media has bashed Chris for this. Yes what he did was wrong but like said every one makes mistakes and by God they will be forgiven. Chris handled his situation well and did not make this into a big "beef", he waited for the court date and was and has been silence since. Hopefully him and Rihanna can grow past this.

i find it funny how we turn a blind eye to these things in the black community. we judge every fucking day trivial things but when something serious pops up we want to back up and be like 'oh that's not my business..' etc, etc. we pick and choose what we want to speak out on, domestic abuse is WRONG. end of story. Chris though did get a harsher punishmen compared to even repeat offenders of domestic abuse, i think that MIGHT have to do with the chargs against him being filed by the state and not Rihanna herself. Yes people make mistakes but he just made his and he needs to deal with the consequences along with the backlash, that's part of owning up to your mistakes. not just saying you made one and tehn acting like everything is all good and gravy 3 days after you just plead GUILTY

Anonymous said...

Also OBVIOUSLY chris did not have sufficient evidence that Rihanna hit him back. Because when it comes to those cases usually the DA throws it out or puts both of them jail. instead of giving chris the benefit of the doubt i don't think you all see he plead GUILTY regardless if the charges were too harsh, it's obvious that he did what he did or you don't plea guilty. If the officers had not done enough investigation and brought a false case against Chris, Chris could easily sue the court for not holding a thorough enough investigation. So REAL RECOGNIZES REAL AND BULLSHIT

I'm mad people are still trippin over this... Rihanna has moved on, why can't he. This is the exact reason why MJ was the way he was, what the media fails to realize is - no one is perfect. Though he's a celeb, he's still human! America tried to tear Michael Jackson down with the child molestation case and now they're tearing Chris Brown down with this... let it go. I agree with Trey.. at the end of the day, only God can judge. I'm still a fan.. if it was Trey, I'd still be holding him down.

I feel you trey, As Chris accepted his judgement. I just sit and wonder if Ri Ri accepted and apologized to him for her actions. The young man will alway have my money hes a great artist. It will pass, and when he goes above, our father will have the last say. Keep your head up Mr. Chris

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH STEPHANIE. I STILL SUPPORT CHRIS BROWN. NO BODY IS PERFECT EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES IN A DIFFERENT WAY BUT WHAT WE ALL CAN AGREE ON IS THAT WE ALWAYS LEARN FROM IT.

Yea...I don't know exactly what Rihanna and his relationship was like or how it went down . Maybe they should just take one day at a time . I'm praying for them . To Rihanna and Chris
